The work of global partnerships, education abroad, international students and scholars, and the processes ensuring health, safety, risk, and compliance engage the University through committees, working groups, and task forces.
Crisis Abroad Response Team (CART)
Charge
The Crisis Abroad Response Team (CART) convenes to coordinate an institutional response in the event of an international or localized emergency that may impact participants on University-sponsored international programs or travel. The members determine when to cancel or suspend University-sponsored education abroad opportunities or travel because of significant health, safety, or legal risks to participants, or significant threat to the educational objectives of the program. The Crisis Abroad Response Team engages other consultants as needed.

International Enrollment Advisory Committee (IEAC) (2017-)
The International Enrollment Advisory Committee (IEAC) discusses international student enrollment at SCU, national trends impacting international student recruitment, best practices in international enrollment management, and initiatives that support SCU's international students.
International Travel with Technology Working Group (2025-)
The International Travel with Technology (ITT) Working Group collaborates on changes related to international travel and technology that impact SCU faculty, staff and students, and reviews the Global Engagement Technology Guidance for International Travelers webpage as it relates to Faculty Research, Information Security, Media Services, and Global Health, Safety and Risk. Typically, this group meets quarterly.
Travel Policy Advisory Committee (TPAC)
Charge
TPAC makes recommendations to the Associate Provost for International Programs regarding university-sponsored international travel for students, faculty, and staff, in keeping with the University International Travel Policy. TPAC makes recommendations to the Provost regarding requests for exceptions to the University International Travel Policy. Typically, this group meets as needed.

Diversity and Identity Abroad Resources Working Group (2021-22)
This working group charge was created by the Associate Provost for International Programs to: 1) Enhance existing resources addressing diversity and identity abroad for undergraduate and graduate students participating on programs abroad. 2) Develop resources for faculty/staff leading global programs throughout the University to help them in preparing and supporting students of diverse identities abroad and addressing identities in different cultural contexts. 3) Develop a regular timeline for reviewing resources and making updates.
English Proficiency Requirements Working Group (2021-22)
This working group charge was created to: 1) Review the current University English Proficiency Requirements; 2) Write a report that addresses ethics and awareness of comparison school data; data on how many students do not enter SCU due to English Proficiency; 3) Establish an annual cycle for review and updates across the University; 4) Evaluate the extent to which Slate could improve the review process and make recommendations regarding possible implementation; 5) Create a guidance document for admission officers in understanding English Proficiency Requirements; 6) Determine strategic data points for annual reporting to measure over time.
Terra Dotta User Working Group (2017-22)
The Terra Dotta User Working Group provided feedback on developing guidelines and procedures for university-wide engagement with Terra Dotta software to support global programs and data reporting.
