SCU’s Global Health, Safety, and Risk Program
Global Engagement’s Global Health, Safety, and Risk Program supports university-sponsored travel for students, faculty, and staff at SCU. The Global Health, Safety, and Risk Program provides university-wide infrastructure for global travel and the foundation to grow and maintain global research, programs, partnerships, and initiatives. This Program undergirds the Impact 2030 strategic plan, Priority One: Reach on a Global Scale, that aspires to increase global activity throughout the University and protects the University by aligning policies and procedures with national best practices in international higher education. The Global Health, Safety, and Risk Program includes the following components:
- University International Travel Policy
- Policies and procedures, e.g., review/approval, pre-departure preparation, critical incident management, evaluation/assessment, etc.
- International emergency medical insurance/travel assistance provider
- Resources and development for faculty and staff
- Staffing/Committee/Task Force infrastructure
The Global Health, Safety, and Risk Program is in Global Engagement. For questions about the Program contact us at associateprovostglobal@scu.edu.
