In high school, she was president of the debate club and competed to become a state finalist in Congressional Debate. She also worked to educate her peers about safe sex and HIV/AIDS as a member of her school’s ASPEN team. Rosie loved competing in DECA, advancing to ICDC with her mental health public relations project. She was a National Merit Finalist and National AP Scholar. A swimmer from a young age, Rosie was also part of Newport High School’s varsity girl’s swim and water polo teams. During the summer, Rosie often spends her time in China attending summer camp. At Santa Clara, she hopes to broaden her horizons to become a kinder and more culturally aware person.
