From: Washington D.C.
Major: Management, International Business & Responsible AI minor

On campus, I serve as a Law Exam Proctor and Business Ethics Teaching Assistant, and I am involved with Igwebuike, the Chinese Student Association, and Women in Business.

I care deeply about expanding access to second-language education, particularly in under-resourced communities. That passion led me to start Sol Global Edu in sixth grade. Over the past seven years, the initiative has reached more than 80 students nationwide and partnered with Amidon-Bowen Elementary School in Washington, D.C., where I taught Mandarin Chinese to fourth- and fifth-grade students. As a Johnson Scholar, I hope to bring this work to the Bay Area and continue exploring how language education can expand access to global opportunities.

Looking ahead at SCU, I hope to deepen my impact within the Leavey School of Business while exploring opportunities with the Miller Center for Global Impact, particularly at the intersection of business, global development, and social impact.

A few things about me beyond academics: I love the intersection of art and fashion, speak four languages, and enjoy modern retellings of classic literature. One of my favorites is Kamila Shamsie’s Home Fire, a contemporary reimagining of Sophocles’ Antigone.
