I am very proud to have served as the Spokesperson for the Liberty North Chapter of Days for Girls. Days for Girls International is an organization that works to end period poverty and the stigma surrounding women’s hygiene. For our 2025 service project we wanted to provide reusable period-underwear to special-needs students who struggle to use traditional disposable products. I had the opportunity to present our cause to educators, administrators, and business owners across my local community. Through their donations we were able to provide every student in need within our district with several pairs of the period-underwear. Feminism by definition is the belief that women deserve equal rights and opportunities. I do not expect every man to present to his community about period equality, but I do believe any respectable man should be a feminist.
My two passions have always been mathematics and art. As I began my college selection process, I was staring at the very real possibility of needing to drop art in order to pursue math and business more seriously. Upon receiving the Johnson Scholarship, I realized it was a very real possibility to work in both. AI in Corporate America has never been more prevalent. AI is a powerful tool, but not a replacement for the human mind. Creativity in professional settings has never been more valuable. As a Johnson Scholar I want to explore how creativity is not only a marketable skill, but a critical resource for modern businesses.
During my free time I like to paint. I am most inspired by the work of Claude Monet. Even as his vision left him, he still painted what the human eye can see in a way the human eye can’t see it.
