Peer Mentor
Hi! My name is Ashley Orozco-Plata. I'm originally from Santa Clara, but I currently live in Sunnyvale. I'm a third-year student double-majoring in Ethnic Studies and Child Studies, with a minor in Urban Education. My favorite class at SCU so far has been Immigration in the U.S. (ETHN120).
A few fun facts about me: I love live music and have attended over 70 concerts, I enjoy hiking with friends and family, and I collect Nyota figures.
In addition to my involvement with LEAD, I’m also part of several other organizations, including Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), the Ethnic Studies Club, The Future Child Advocates, and I’m a Fellow with the Future Teachers Project (FTP).
