  • Fifth Annual Santa Clara County Hunger Issues Forum Examines the Persistent Food Gap

    Even in wealthy Santa Clara County, the number of hungry people is growing, with the problem becoming more widespread. How can Silicon Valley’s community partners take action to connect new and existing hungry families with nutritious food where they live, learn, work, and play? These issues will be addressed at the fifth annual Santa Clara County Hunger Forum titled “It’s Complicated: Hunger in Our Community.”

  • U.S. News and World Report Ranks Santa Clara No. 2 in the West

    In its annual ranking, “America’s Best Colleges 2013,” U.S. News & World Report ranked SCU second overall among master’s universities in the West. At 96 percent, SCU has the highest freshman retention rate of all master’s universities. Santa Clara’s average undergraduate graduation rate, 86 percent, was the third highest rate of the 625 master’s universities across the country.

  • Convocation, Awards and Professorships Celebrated

    President Michael Engh, S.J., convened the 2012-2013 academic year at a Mission Church ceremony, by celebrating honors bestowed on several faculty and staff members and sharing ways SCU is working to overcome its newest challenges.
