Recruits

We are always looking for new members and are so excited that you're thinking about SWIM!

Here is some information about the team to get to know us better!

Nope! We encourage swimmers of all levels to join the team. You can join us at practices, meets, or other social activities the team hosts. We're here to have fun and bond with fellow teammates.

You can contact our Recruitment Coordinator Charlie Horey at chorey@scu.edu. You can also contact our Club President Bryce Nishikawa at bnishikawa@scu.edu. Our club Instagram @scuclubswim is another way you can get in touch with us. Other club-related forms can be found here https://www.scu.edu/recreation/clubsports/officerscorner/

If you are interested in joining (or considering joining) the team, you will need to complete the following prior to attending any practices or events:
  1. Complete the Liability Waiver.
  2. Complete the Conduct Guidelines Form.
Please visit the Club Sports Officer's Corner for links to these forms.
  3. Email SCU Club Sports at clubsports@SCU.edu to request an ImPACT baseline test.
Please contact the Team President, Bryce Nishikawa at bnishikawa@scu.edu if you have any questions.

Currently fees are $350 for the year. You can also pay per Fall & Winter quarter as well (all dues required to be paid by February 1). Fees are subject to change per year.

Attendance is not mandatory, but we encourage you to attend as many practices as you can. Practice is one of the best times to hang out and get to know your fellow teammates. Don't miss out on the fun!

No, but we highly encourage it. Meets are a great way to see the hard work you put into practice pay off. Tag along to bond with your teammates and experience some fun!

Kickboards and buoys are provided. You are free to bring your own equipment such as snorkels, fins, or paddles. However, sets tend to be made for gear that everyone has access to, so you may not get much use out of extra gear.

Practices are Monday-Friday and usually run about 1.5 hours long. The practice times are adjusted quarterly, depending on the schedules of our swimmers. Sets are made by members of the team and can range in difficulty depending on who makes it.

We compete at UC Davis, Stanford, UCLA, and at our home meet. Each meet consists of various teams, including Cal Poly SLO, UC Davis, Stanford, Berkeley, and more. There is also the Nationals meet which usually requires us to travel out of state.

Nope. There are no tryouts and/or cuts for this team. All you need to do to join is fill out the required forms and pay dues.

The team currently consists of swimmers of all swim levels. There are swimmers here for leisure, and there are swimmers here for some serious competition! We welcome all!
