About the Donors

For decades, John A. Sobrato ’60 and his wife Susan have been leaders in the emergence and growth of Silicon Valley.

As founder and principal of The Sobrato Organization, John has focused on commercial properties for the high-technology industry since 1974, developing and constructing more than 150 office and R&D facilities. His and Susan’s gift to establish the Sobrato Campus for Discovery and Innovation at Santa Clara University reflects their commitment to solving the world’s problems with ethical and compassionate innovation and leadership, and their dedication to a vibrant Silicon Valley community.
