International Baccalaureate Test
|
Santa Clara University recognizes the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program for admission and placement purposes and often awards credit for grades of 5, 6, or 7 in the higher-level examinations. Final decisions, however, are made individually by the appropriate academic departments after consulting with the transcript analyst in the Drahmann Advising and Learning Resources Center. No credit is awarded for subsidiary-level examinations. Students will receive four quarter units of credit for each qualifying test. Certain tests may also fulfill certain Santa Clara University core requirements. Students need to have their official test scores sent in to our Admissions Department as soon as possible in order for the SCU transcript analyst to assign credit for them. Credit will not be given until official scores are received. Please have the IB scores sent to: Undergraduate Admission Once the test scores are received, students will receive an evaluation outlining how many units were assigned and what core requirements were satisfied. If you should have any questions, please contact Lisa Osteraas at (408) 551-7158 or e-mail her at losteraas@scu.edu. |
