Orientation Program

Housing During Summer Orientation

All students attending Summer Orientation, including students planning to live off campus in the fall, are required to stay in the Walsh and McLaughlin residence halls while at Summer Orientation. This will be a prime opportunity for you to experience Santa Clara's residential life and meet other new students. Because Summer Orientation is an important academic and social experience, full student participation is needed. Students are not permitted to leave campus at any time during the two-day session.

International students attending the seventh session of Orientation will be permitted to move into their residence hall on Wednesday, September 17. More information regarding your move-in will be available to you throughout the summer. If you have questions about your housing assignment, please contact the Housing and Residence Life Offices at 408-554-4900.

Santa Clara understands the challenge in making travel plans for Summer Orientation. Therefore, we will provide housing for those students who arrive one day early or need to stay one day later at no additional charge. If you need extended housing, please contact us at least five days prior to your arrival at orientation@scu.edu and include your name, student ID number, cell phone number, and flight information.
