Bruno finished her career at Santa Clara with the most rebounds in school history (1,218) and is currently listed as 16th on the Santa Clara all-time scoring list. During her junior year, Bruno averaged 12.8 rebounds per game, tenth best in the nation, and was named the Northern California Athlete of the Year. She was also the first woman to be awarded the Victor Corsiglia award as a graduating senior. In 1994, Bruno was inducted into the Santa Clara Athletic Hall of Fame and in 2014 Santa Clara retired her No. 42 jersey.
