Russell Lebeck was a standout baseball player for the Broncos in the early 1940’s. Lebeck was known to be a wizard on the mound, easily reading the batter. Due to his stellar play, he was voted captain of the baseball team. During this season, he helped shut out the powerhouse Bruins in the first seven innings, leading to a big win for the Broncos.
