Bill McPherson played D-line for the Broncos. After four years at Santa Clara he took his defensive talents to the sidelines. McPherson coached the Santa Clara defensive line from 1963 to 1974. He left to coach at UCLA and then he NFL. McPherson coached with the Philadelphia Eagles for some time, and was then offered a job as a defensive coach with the San Francisco 49ers. While in San Francisco, McPherson won five Super Bowls.
