William Mullins was a prominent player on the baseball field. At his high school, Mullins was a standout baseball player and attracted the attention of many college scouts, but chose to attend Santa Clara. At SCU, Mullins from his stellar play became known around campus as one of the most outstanding players to play for Santa Clara’s Baseball team. After SCU, Mullins like many other Santa Clara athletes during this time served in the Army for the Field Artillery Division.
