In 1965 together with Mark Pisano, Charles Wynn co-founded Santa Clara’s Rowing program and coached the Santa Clara University Rowing team to a league victory in their first year. While at Santa Clara, Wynn designed the Racehorse, which is considered to be the premier dual meet course on the West Coast. Fifty years later, he was inducted into the SCU Athletic Hall of Fame for his years of dedication to the program. Charles was also inducted into to the Hall of Fame at LaSalle High in Philadelphia for his rowing teams 1946 undefeated season. A lifelong oarsman, he continued to row his double shell with rowing partner George Santich, well into his 80's.
