Called to Lead Podcast

In this episode of Called to Lead, Dr. John Rinaldo sits down with Leif Kehrwald, a veteran practitioner, author, and coach in family and intergenerational faith formation. Drawing on his extensive work with the Center for Ministry Development and Vibrant Faith, Leif challenges the long-held paradigm that faith formation is something that only happens inside a church building or a classroom.

Together, they discuss how ordinary households function as the "primary soil" for discipleship. Leif offers practical, encouraging insights on how parents can spot "moments of meaning" amidst the chaos of daily life and explains how parish leaders can pivot from merely running programs for families to authentically partnering with them.

Much of the insight from this podcast episode can be found in his amazing book which he co-authored, Families at the Center of Faith Formation, which can be downloaded for free.
