Schedule Notes

Parents & Families:

  • Parents and families are encouraged but not required to attend New Student Move-In and/or Welcome Weekend.
  • The schedule below indicates which sessions are for students only, for parents only, and for both students and parents.
  • Also, the schedule indicates which sessions are required for students.

Tickets for Certain Events:

  • No tickets or RSVPs needed to attend any parts of New Student Move-In and/or Welcome Weekend except for a theatre show and soccer games that are on the schedule.
  • The Capitol Comedy theatre show by SCU Presents on September 15 requires tickets. Click here for tickets to this show.
  • The soccer games on September 16 and September 18 require tickets. Click here for tickets to these soccer games.
  • All students receive free admission to the games by showing their Access Card or Access Credential (phone) at the gate to enter Stevens Stadium.

Meet the Deans:

  • For the "Meet the Dean - College of Arts & Sciences" sessions on September 15 and September 17, they are the same session so Arts & Sciences students and families only need to attend one of them.
  • For the "Meet the Dean - Leavey School of Business" sessions on September 17, there are two sessions but they are the same session: the 1st session is for students with last names A-L while the 2nd session is for students with last names M-Z. The Dean's Office will contact all business majors directly, too.

Open Houses:

  • Open houses are informal in that staff are excited to greet you and answer questions but there is no formal program like speakers or presentations.
  • You may stay for as little or as long as you wish at any of the open houses.
  • For those university offices not hosting open houses, they will be operating under standard business hours with their staff managing services and programs for the campus community.
