Kalpana Thatte, Ed.D., is an educator and researcher whose doctoral work examined the impact of the model minority myth on Indian students with disabilities transitioning to college and their ability to practice self-advocacy. She previously led educator preparation programs in special education and administrative services credentials and now supports the 45-unit master’s program while teaching human development. Outside of academia, she enjoys volunteering at the local zoo, reading, and hiking.
