Advisory Board Profiles

Young S. Kang
Dr. Kang is a practicing physician in the Department of Radiology at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC), where he served as Department Chair in the past. His main clinical area of interest is cross-sectional imaging including CT and MRI. He has been involved in residency training for SCVMC and Stanford residents.
 
Dr. Kang has collaborated with the SCU Bioengineering faculty in research projects, lately in deep learning. He has taught classes in medical imaging to SCU undergraduate and graduate students. 
 
Dr. Kang received his M.D. degree from Yale Medical School, and completed residency training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and a fellowship in MRI at UCSF. He also holds a Ph.D. in particle physics from UC Berkeley.
