Smartlens, Inc., Savas’ passion is building novel solutions for managing chronic conditions,
preventing blindness, and improving lives. The Company has developed a unique platform that
helps prevent disease progression, improves the efficacy of treatments, and paves the way for a
new generation of therapies. Smartlens has been featured in Nature Medicine and rewarded as
the Winner of the "Outstanding Innovation in Medical Technology and Life Sciences" of High-
Tech Awards by Octane.
Earlier in his career, Savas was featured in Fortune's "40 Under 40" list and had successful exits
to Fortune 50 where he served at global top levels. He founded intelligence TR and he rapidly
grew the business from the ground up to the global scale, which led the way for its acquisition
by the Japanese NTT. He then continued as its President & CEO and Head of Global Business
Innovation for NTTD, where he led the transformation from a midsize to a large-scale global
corporation and grew the business 5 times in 4 years. The organization has developed
breakthrough technologies and has been selected as the top digital innovator by SAP, Deloitte,
and other institutions.
