The SCU Application
Students must apply directly to Santa Clara University to study or intern abroad on approved programs that allow them to earn SCU credit and utilize their financial aid while abroad.
Applications are always due during the filing period in Fall Quarter for programs in the next academic year. Applications may be submitted in the SCU Global Learning Portal at any point during the Filing Period. They must be complete at the time of submission or they will not be reviewed. Deadlines are also final. Extensions will not be granted for class, work, travel, event conflict, or student error.

The filing period listed above is for Summer 2026, Fall 2026, Winter/Spring 2027 programs.
Advising Support
Our advisors are dedicated to helping students learn how to identify programs that align with their academic, personal, and professional goals. Students should begin planning early Fall Quarter to ensure they are prepared to submit an application as soon as possible during the Filing Period. This includes attending our info sessions, workshops, and peer advisor hours.

Tuition and program fees vary by program. There are a number of scholarships available which students are strongly encouraged to apply for!
With appropriate approval through the course evaluation process, students may fulfill major, minor, and core requirements while abroad.
