  • Christina M. Guzmán, Ph.D

    Director

    Christina is a Bay Area native and an alumnus of Santa Clara University, class of 2001. She received her M.A. and Ph.D. at the University of California, Santa Cruz in History where her work centered on the development of multiracial/ multiethnic communities in the Central Valley of California. Christina has worked as a lecturer in Ethnic Studies and History for the past 10 years and specifically spent time lecturing in Ethnic Studies here at SCU. Her love for working with students and commitment to issues of diversity, inclusion, and social justice led her to the position as the Director of the Office for Multicultural Learning. Christina is passionate about empowering students and looks forward to expanding and creating programs which will impact the campus community at large.

  • Danielle Aguilar

    Assistant Director

    Hailing from Ontario, CA, Danielle is a proud Chicana with familial roots in Mexico City and Guadalajara. Danielle received an M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from the University of Vermont where she was an Assistant Residence Director. Danielle attended the University of California, Santa Barbara where she studied Feminist Studies and Black Studies. Danielle is passionate about working with historically disenfranchised students at college campuses and advocating for change. In her spare time, Danielle enjoys salsa dancing, watching Friends and reading.

  • Pauline Phuong Nguyen

    Office Manager

    Pauline comes to SCU after having worked in Canada and Hawaii in different administrative and office managerial positions. She completed her BSc in Biochemistry from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Pauline currently holds a dual appointment as Office Manager for both the Office for Multicultural Learning and the Ethnic Studies Department. In addition to her administrative support responsibilities, Pauline enjoys serving as the Advisor for the Vietnamese Student Association on campus since 2000.
