Acting President Lisa Kloppenberg welcomes invitations to attend university events or represent the university at community events. This page will also house follow-up materials from various campus events such as town halls.
Invite the Acting President to an Event
- Before requesting the Acting President's attendance at an event, please obtain pre-approval from the respective Vice President.
- Once approved by the respective Vice President, complete the Participation Request Form and submit at least six weeks prior to the date of the event. Submission of the request to the Office of the President is not a confirmation of the Acting President's attendance at the event.
- A staff member from the Office of the President will notify the requester about whether the Acting President is able to attend and will provide a briefing form for the requester to complete and submit to the Office of the President.

Acting President's Event Briefing
For any confirmed events that the Acting President is attending, the President's Office staff will provide a briefing form to complete and submit four weeks prior to the event.

Lisa Kloppenberg is a distinguished administrator, lawyer and educator with a passion for advancing Jesuit values and tradition. She joined Santa Clara University in 2013, serving as dean of the law school and interim provost, and was named Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs in March 2020 before transitioning to the role of Acting President in March 2021.
Earlier in her career, Kloppenberg served for a decade as dean and professor of law at the University of Dayton, a Catholic and Marianist university in Ohio that received national recognition for the “Lawyer as Problem Solver” curriculum under her leadership.
