Students may only petition for a double degree once they are within two quarters of graduation. For example, if you plan to graduate at the end of Spring 2019, you would be eligible to petition in Winter 2019.
Students may pursue a second bachelor's degree at Santa Clara University, but may not duplicate the type of degree (e.g., Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science in a Natural Science, Bachelor of Science in a Social Science, Bachelor of Science in Commerce, or Bachelor of Science in Engineering). Students whose first degree is from Santa Clara and who wish to pursue a second bachelor's degree concurrently or immediately following completion of their first must demonstrate a strong academic record and submit a proposed program of study that fulfills the degree requirements in effect at their original date of matriculation. At least half of the units required for the second degree must be earned in addition to those applied toward the first degree and completed through a Santa Clara program. Approval to pursue a second bachelor's degree must be submitted to and granted by the Office of the Registrar.
