This is our largest admitted student program with over 2,000+ attendees expected from all over the U.S. and internationally. You will get an exclusive opportunity to explore the unique academic offerings and engage with faculty and current students, enjoy housing tours that are typically not available to visiting prospective students, and experience authentic student-to-student interactions that will provide a real sense of our SCU campus culture and community.

Check-In
Preview Day is a full day programming that runs from 9 AM - 3 PM. Check-in starts from 8 AM at Schott Admission & Enrollment Services. Students and families will be guided to Leavey Center for the Welcome Session.
Welcome Session
During the welcome session, you will hear from our University President, Julie Sullivan, Vice President for Enrollment Management, Eva Blanco Masias, and Santa Clara University students as we congratulate you on your acceptance welcome you to explore our wonderful community through academic programs, parent panels, hear from current students and get a glimpse of what life as an SCU Bronco could be like in the fall.

Art & Art History Department Talk Come learn about the Department of Art and Art History where courses will foster a thorough understanding of the history and practice of art. Students can choose to major in either Art History or Studio Art. Minors are available in Art History, Studio Art, Animation and Illustration, Arts Management, or Graphic Design. |

Art & Art History Talk and Tour Come take a tour of the Edward M. Dowd Art and Art History Building where Art History students develop a cultural understanding and gain intellectual skills developed throughout the program. Studio Art students learn hands-on skills in a variety of art media and develop comprehensive skills that prepare them for graduate study or careers in fine or commercial arts. 30 minute tours will be held at the same time as the talks. |

Biology Department Talk Connect with the Biology Department which offers a balanced program allowing students freedom in choosing courses that explore life at all levels – from molecules and cells to plants and animals to ecosystems. Students benefit from a wide range of educational experiences in the classroom, the laboratory, the field, and in the tropics. Through the department, students can major or minor in Biology, or choose to minor in Biotechnology. |

Child Studies Overview + Student Panel Connect with the Child Studies Department which is designed for undergraduates interested in careers working with children and families in school or community settings. The degree prepares students for careers in fields such as teacher education, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, law, and more. Department overview will include a panel of students sharing their experiences followed by an opportunity to visit our offices and student resource spaces. |

Chemistry & Biochemistry Department Talk+Tour Connect with the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, which offers a program spanning organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, and biochemistry. Our students benefit from a wide range of educational experiences in the classroom, laboratory, and guided inquiry through mentored undergraduate research. We will overview our program offerings, answer questions, and briefly visit our nearby laboratory spaces. |

Classics Department Talk Connect with the Classics Department which encourages students to explore all aspects of the life and culture of ancient Greece and Rome—cultures that we believe articulated a unique vision of the human condition which remains viable today. Students can major or minor in Classics, choosing one of three different tracks: classical languages and literatures, classical studies, or ancient studies. |

Communication Department Talk Learn about the Communication Department's curriculum and the many opportunities the department offers for engaged learning, internships, research and teaching assistantships, and student-run media organizations. English Department Talk Connect with the student-driven and interdisciplinary English Department. Students receive a robust liberal arts education with possible focuses in literature and cultural studies, creative writing, and/or professional writing. Students also have opportunities to work one-on-one with our noteworthy, teaching-centered faculty on individualized projects. The degree prepares students for careers in education, law, publishing, public relations, and non-profit work, as well as in creative, journalistic, and UX and technical writing in a wide variety of fields. Environmental Studies & Sciences Department Talk Connect with the Department of Environmental Studies and Sciences which provides students with the intellectual foundation they will need in addressing crucial environmental challenges of the 21st century, such as climate change, human population growth, urban sprawl, habitat and biodiversity loss, waste disposal, air and water pollution, and the need for renewable energy. Students can major in Environmental Studies or Environmental Sciences, or choose to minor in Environmental Studies. |

Majors with a Mission with Ethnic Studies, Religious Studies, and Gender & Sexuality Studies The Ethnic Studies Department has the most diverse teaching faculty and staff on campus. With classes like Race and Mass Incarceration, Black Girl Magic, Latinx/Chicanx Studies, and Asian American Studies (just to name a few), the department offers uniquely important learning. Gaining invaluable knowledge about different communities—their histories, their current realities, and their future—has the power to make us better community members. Santa Clara's past three valedictorians were all Ethnic Studies majors. Ethnic Studies empowers every student with a vital understanding of their changing world. |

Public Health Department Talk Connect with the Public Health Department, which offers two emphases, Public Health Science or Health and Society, that train students to build successful health careers in a wide range of settings. Our public health faculty and students endeavor to understand the biological, social, and structural determinants of disease, and develop solutions to tackle health inequities locally and globally. Contemporary Business, BUSN 70, Issues Mock Class (for students only) The Contemporary Business Issues, BUSN 70, is an introductory course that is required for all incoming business students. This course provides all students with the baseline for courses taken later at the Leavey School of Business, covering topics such as Accounting, Finance, Management, Economics and leverages the unique expertise of professors with executive level experience. In this mock session, BUSN 70 faculty and a teaching assistant will demonstrate and discuss how class participation is used to introduce and explore critical elements of business, business simulation competition, and connect the dots between academic and real life business. |

Management & Entrepreneurship Major Information Session Management majors take a required course in Leadership in Action along with a range of courses that provide both conceptual and practical skills in effectively working with people and leading innovation. Navigating to Preview Day 2026
- Luggage Storage
We understand that you may be traveling with luggage to get to Preview Day 2025. We will have luggage storage available at the Office of Undergraduate Admission in the Schott Enrollment Services Building. You are welcome to store your luggage with us until the program ends at 3:00 PM. All luggage will need to be picked up by then or it will have to be collected when we reopen on the following Monday at 8:00 AM. We will ask you to fill out a luggage tag and then store it in a locked room until you need to retrieve it.
For luggage drop off, you may park your car briefly at the roundabouts in front of the Admission building. Due to liability reasons, you must bring your luggage inside the building. We cannot accept it at the roundabout.
- Driving or Getting a Lyft/Uber/Rideshare to SCU
Add the pick up/drop off location as: 407 Palm Drive Santa Clara, CA 95053. There will be plenty of signage directing you and your driver.
- SFO Airport
- About 50 minutes and 35 miles north of campus. You can get a rideshare from here to campus. It is typically about $80.
- You can take a BART to Caltrain transfer to get to campus. The Santa Clara Caltrain station is right across the street from campus so it is an easy way to get to campus.
- OAK Airport
- About 45 minutes and 35 miles north of campus. You can get a rideshare from here to campus. It is typically about $90.
- SJC Airport
- Very close to campus. About 3 miles away. A lyft from to here is typically around $15.
- SFO Airport
- Public Transportation
You can take the bus to/from the airport on VTA Route 60 (Airport Flyer). You will get off at the Santa Clara Transit Center when coming to SCU. The bus station is right across the street from campus and is visible from where you are dropped off. Coming from the airport it is free and there is no fare required. You can follow the signs at the airport for the bus stop. Going to the airport is $2.50 per rider.
