Artist's Statement

The narratives in my figure paintings are gleaned from family memories. When viewers experience my work, I want them to feel part of the experience of my life growing up. More than anything, I hope that my paintings communicate the feelings of comfort and nostalgia that I’ve experienced in these spaces with family.
