Hall Haynes played halfback and punter for Santa Clara from 1946-1950. In the 1948-1949 season, Haynes was a top scorer and kicked an average of 42.4 yards.  During the 1949-1950 football season, Haynes helped the Broncos to an Orange Bowl victory over Bear Bryant’s future National Champion Kentucky Wildcats. After graduation Haynes was drafted by the Washington Redskins. He then went on to play with the Los Angeles Rams before retiring from the league after five years.
