Claude Jones, a 6-foot-2 guard, played Bronco Basketball with the outstanding 1992-93 Men’s Basketball team. His team (19-12, 9-5 WCC), led by first-year head coach Dick Davey, ended third in WCC ranks, won the conference tournament, and earned a trip to the NCAA tournament. There, the 15th-seeded Broncos upset the No. 2 seed Arizona, marking only the second time a No. 15 seed had upset the No. 2 seed in the NCAA tournament.
