John Pasco was an amazing quarterback for the Broncos from 1948 to 1951. During his junior year, he led the Broncos to a victory in the 1950 Orange Bowl against Kentucky.  Trailing 7-0 at halftime, Pasco scored the tying touchdown in the third quarter and led two more second-half scoring drives in a 21-13 victory for the Broncos, which capped off an 8-2-1 season. Pasco graduated from the University in 1952 and practiced law in San Jose for 29 years. He volunteered his time coaching football at Santa Clara for 19 years under head coach Pat Malley. He is also one of the founding members of the Bronco Bench Foundation, which was set up to provide scholarships for the school's student-athletes.
