Pickup ended her college career with the Broncos 83-9-4. In her four years at Santa Clara, 1996-1999, Pickup played in four consecutive Final Fours. During her senior season, Kim Pickup and teammates Jacqui Little, Nikki Serlenga, Kylie Bivens, and Whitney Hollis, scored 108 goals and allowed 10 for a goal differential of +98 goals which is still an NCAA record for goal differential in a season. After graduation, Pickup was drafted in the fourth round by the San Diego Spirit of the WUSA. Santa Clara University alumni Jennifer (Lalor) Nielsen and Aly Wagner played alongside Pickup in San Diego.
