Experience in journalism and heading to graduate school

"In late 2021, New York hired me as an editor for newsletters/columns, with a focus on politics and popular culture. Before joining the magazine, I worked at The Wall Street Journal for two years, where I edited and reported news. I've also contributed essays/reporting to a few other outlets, covering oral arguments at the Supreme Court, the 2018 and 2020 elections, and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Living in New York City has been a dream; in my spare time, I like doing karaoke with friends in Manhattan's Koreatown and going to comedy shows in Brooklyn. This fall, I'll join the history department at the University of California, Berkeley, as a Ph.D. student in North American history".
