In my time at SCU I studied Italian and Arabic. I also audited French courses to keep up the French I learned in high school. All of my professors were exceptional, not only in their skill but also in their passion. I felt incredibly supported by each of them to continue learning languages even when faced with trials as small as a busy schedule or as large as a pandemic. It was in large part these courses that solidified my desire to pursue cross cultural work as a career. I recently successfully applied for a Fulbright with the support of the modern languages department. As a Fulbright Grantee, I will be living and working in Colombia for a year as a representative of the United States. I am beyond excited and grateful for the opportunity to continue my education in foreign language and culture.
