“During the fall quarter of my third-year at SCU, I studied abroad in Dakar, Senegal through the MSID - International Development in Senegal program. This French-immersion program is divided into a seven week in-the-classroom session and a six week research or internship phase. I spent my final six weeks working at Cours Sacré Coeur, a middle school located in the neighborhood of SICAP Baobab in Dakar.

While in Senegal, I visited various absolutely beautiful regions in the countryside, met amazing people, ran a 10k, ate the best rice and fish, or ceeb u jen, you could imagine, and came to understand just how strong Teranga Senegalaise truly is.”
