Kristin Tappan is a marriage and family therapist. Her educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, minor in Philosophy and a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology (Marriage and Family Therapy), both from Santa Clara University. Kristin’s professional background includes therapy with children & families in community/school settings (including group homes), teaching a mental health seminar and facilitating group sessions in the following areas: stress and anxiety, grief and loss, addiction. Kristin’s past research includes the psychosocial benefits of ethnic diversity in middle schools and the psychology of aging.  She has a person-centered approach to therapy while using a great deal of CBT. Kristin is excited to be back at SCU and serving a community that helped mold her into both the counselor and person she is.
