June 22, 2020 Presidential Action related to Entry in H, L and some J statues.  There is no impact to current or admitted SCU students or scholars.  Starting on June 24, 2020 at 12:01am EDT, the proclamation suspends entry into the U.S. of people in H-1B, H-2B, H-4, L-1, L-2 and some J statues (not including students, professors, and researcher scholars). The proclamation is set to be in place until December 31, 2020, and may be extended.

The suspension will not impact SCU’s current or admitted students or scholars.

  • The proclamation does not impact any F-1 students, incoming, continuing students and F-1 students engaged in OPT or STEM OPT extension (or their dependent family members).
  • The proclamation does not impact J-1 students, professors, or researcher scholars (or their dependent family members).
  • The proclamation does not impact Change of Status or Extension of Status filings with USCIS.
  • The proclamation does not impact “Cap Gap” for students with a pending "cap subject" H-1B Change of Status application.
