Enhance Your Career-Readiness with a Summer Global Internship

SCU’s Global Learning department in Global Engagement offers a Summer Global Internship Program that provides internships in a range of majors and professional areas. SCU’s Summer Global Internship Program provides students with career-ready skills through engagement with global challenges and experience working alongside professionals in diverse industries. Summer Global Internships help students gain the intercultural and professional skills essential for the job market in today’s interconnected world.

About the Program - Skill-Building for Career-Readiness

Participation in a Summer Global internship provides academic and career benefits that align with SCU’s Strategic Priority One: Reach on a Global Scale.

  • Academic and Professional Growth: Students work with professionals and also study the culture of work in different contexts.
  • Intercultural Competence and Global Perspective: Students develop skills in intercultural communication, adaptability and resilience.
  • Career and Leadership Development: By engaging in both independent and collaborative work abroad, students demonstrate initiative, problem-solving, and innovation, attributes highly sought after by employers.
  • Learning Through Global Engagement: Students not only gain professional experience but also learn to approach global issues with empathy, integrity, and a sense of responsibility toward the common good. By integrating global experience with academic pathways, students deepen their understanding of the world and their place in it, preparing them for careers marked by purpose, ethical leadership, and social responsibility.
