Associate Director and COO
Mike Nuttall has served as Associate Director and Chief Operating Office since January 2015. In this role, Mike oversees the overall execution of the Center's strategic plan. Mike and the Operations Team are primarily responsible for managing the marketing, communications, and fundraising for the Center as well as providing logistical and operational support for the Center’s signature programs and the Center Staff.
Mike arrived at Santa Clara in 2010 and began work as Program Director for Immersions, followed by a stint as Interim Associate Director for Immersions. In January 2013, Mike became the Director of Communications and Operations and began to oversee the Operations Team. This position trasformed into the current Associate Director position in January 2015. From January - August 2016, Mike served as the Interim Executive Director for the Center supporting the transition in Center leadership.
He received his M.A. in History as well as a Masters in Higher Education Administration, both from Boston College. Prior to joining the Center staff, Mike worked on for Teach For America and served as a volunteer with Rostro de Cristo in Duran, Ecuador for one year. He lives with his wife in San Francisco.
