Ancestral Roots and Sustainable Futures

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO

Saturday, August 29 - Monday, September 7, 2026
Cost: $2300

In this immersive program in Mexico City, developed in collaboration with our sister Jesuit University, Universidad Iberoamericana (ibero) and SCU’s Miller Center, we will explore innovation and sustainability through a lens grounded in indigenous knowledge. Participants will learn directly from traditional farming communities, organizations working to secure equitable access to clean water, and local leaders addressing the social and ecological impacts of urbanization and climate change. Through site visits, community engagement, and academic collaboration with ibero, students will examine how Indigenous knowledge systems, community-based solutions, and contemporary innovation intersect to advance environmental stewardship and social equity.

International Travel: This immersion includes traveling abroad, to apply you will need a valid passport and proof of COVID vaccination. Passports should have at least six months of validity when traveling internationally.
