General Special Notes

  • Name Changes in PeopleSoft - Names may change over time (e.g., academic plans, departments). All data are presented consistently over time, reflecting the most recent name. This may result in some differences from previously reported data and reports.
  • Retroactive changes in PeopleSoft - Retroactive changes are reflected in this visualization (e.g., late posted degrees, race/ethnicity, gender). This may result in some differences from previously reported data and reports.
  • Data Entry in PeopleSoft - Though the Office of Institutional Research conducts regular data audits and corrections, the volume, ubiquity, and persistence of data entry errors exceed capacity. While the overall error rate may be low, they often occur in bursts in a particular program or year. We encourage user feedback when data appear anomalous.

Function

The Undergraduate High School GPA, SAT/ACT Scores dashboard displays the average high school GPA, SAT/ACT scores of first-time students who were awarded the selected academic plan major and the comparison field presented over the fiscal year, allowing for trend comparisons between academic plan, cluster, or college/school.

Special Notes:

  • High School GPA - The high school GPAs presented prior to Program Review 2017 are not comparable to those presented currently because the underlying field the data come from has changed.
  • SAT/ACT Scores - SAT (Math and Verbal) and ACT scores presented are the highest scores submitted if multiple tests were submitted. Students may submit either the SAT, ACT, or both hence the total number of scores submitted may exceed the total number of awards conferred.
  • PeopleSoft - Only students whose complete record is present in PeopleSoft are included in this report and are used in calculating average SAT/ACT scores and high school GPA.
