Bioengineering major, class of 2020
After attending the National Society of Black Engineers Conference in Kansas City, Missouri, I believe that I have a better understanding of what I want to focus my studies on and the type of work that I would like to be involved with in the future. I have now decided to switch my major to mechanical engineering with a minor in aerospace....The convention was a great experience that also gave me more of an idea of what recruiters and employers want their job applicant to be like. I now feel more confident that I will be prepared for future conventions and career fairs because I have experience speaking with representatives, advertising myself, and developing a good resume.
