First & Second Year Housing
Our residence halls offer a variety of living options, from traditional rooms to suite- and apartment-style layouts, with convenient access to university resources that make it easier to balance study, wellness, and social life. Living on campus gives students the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in campus life, supporting personal growth and helping them make the most of their first years at SCU.
Upperclass Housing
Upperclass students at Santa Clara University live in apartment-style residence halls or off-campus neighborhood units, giving them the freedom to choose their preferred living spaces and live alongside friends. These options offer greater independence while staying connected to campus resources, helping students balance academics and career preparation as they prepare for their next steps.
Graduate & Law Housing
Graduate and Law student housing offers private and shared spaces tailored to the needs of advanced degree students. Housing options include single studio apartments, two bedroom apartments, and off campus houses with furnished and unfurnished options. Prospective residents are encouraged to apply early through the SCU Housing Portal, as availability is limited.

Santa Clara University Dining Services offers innovative menus made from scratch, showcasing fresh, locally grown ingredients. Benson Memorial Center is the campus dining hub that features several dine-in and takeout locations as well as a grocery store open seven days a week. Our on-campus bakery, Nobili Bakery, provides freshly baked sandwich breads, rolls, breakfast pastries, and desserts available at cafes conveniently located throughout campus

Whether you’re sober or sober-curious, SCU is excited to offer substance-free housing to our incoming freshman and rising sophomores.
At Santa Clara University, we believe that every student deserves access to the essentials for a healthy and fulfilling life. We’re dedicated to ensuring that every student has access to the fundamental resources necessary to be a successful student at SCU. Our program provides comprehensive support in areas such as food security, housing assistance, and financial assistance.
Campus Mail at Santa Clara University makes receiving packages and letters simple and convenient. Students can pick up mail directly from the centrally located campus mailroom, which offers secure handling and easy notification when items arrive. For added flexibility, SCU also provides Amazon Lockers across campus, perfect for quick, self-service pickups that fit your schedule.
Resident students can purchase a parking permit that grants access to designated residential parking lots located close to their housing. Permits are managed through Parking & Transportation Services and can be obtained in the AiMs system via MySCU, making the process simple and quick. Please note that first-year students are not permitted to park on campus.
