2026-2027 Transfer Students
Transfer students apply for housing through a rolling application process that opens on January 15, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. and remains available throughout the Fall Quarter. During the application process, students may indicate their preferred residence hall placements. Housing assignments are determined by residence hall availability and eligibility requirements for specific buildings. There is no residence hall designated specifically for transfer students. We do our best to assign transfer students to available spaces that best align with their housing preferences.
If you have any questions about on-campus housing for transfer students, please contact the Housing Office at housing@scu.edu or (408) 554-4900. We would love to see you on campus!
Are you Bronco Bound? We are happy you are transferring to Santa Clara University!
Now that you've had a chance to Discover On-Campus Living at SCU, it's time to begin your application! Don't wait and make sure to complete your housing application via your personalized housing portal today. This application is newly admitted transfer students to apply for Housing for the upcoming academic year.
The application for 2026-2027 Transfer Students will open on January 15, 2026 at 9:00AM, and will close on June 15, 2026, at 5:00PM.
Transfer student assignments are made after all First- and Second-Year students have be accommodated. Students are able to indicate their desired Residential Learning Community placement, but space limitations may impact our ability to accommodate those preferences. Placement for transfer students is determined by a combination of class standing and age, with the goal of placing students alongside their peers. Students who are 21 years or older at the start of the academic year will be placed in our Upperclass Housing areas. Your placement may impact available dining plan options.
The Transfer Housing Application is available on your Housing Portal via MySCU.
