Chris Harris is a University of Michigan graduate whose career has intentionally centered social mobility through education and social justice. He has extensive project management and youth advocacy experience in nonprofit, state government, classroom instruction and K-12 district spaces. Chris relocated to Santa Clara, CA in June 2021 and in May 2023, was named Director, Office for Multicultural Learning, Campus Climate & Belonging at SCU.

Bernell Nevil is originally from New Orleans, LA. Bernell attended Washington University in St. Louis for his undergraduate degree in Human Resources and Psychology. After graduating from WashU, Bernell attended Michigan State University and received his master's degree in Student Affairs Administration. Bernell spent five years at John Carroll University as an Area Coordinator in the Office of Residence Life. Bernell most appreciates the focus on reflection, social justice, and holistic development in Jesuit higher education. Bernell started working in the Office for Multicultural Learning at Santa Clara University in May 2019. In his spare time, you can find Bernell attending a Broadway musical, watching Survivor, posting food pics as #ChefBernie, or catching up on the lastest Oscar-contending movie.
- Office Manager, Office for Multicultural LearningMeenu Nachiappan (she/her/hers)
Meenu Nachiappan graduated from Santa Clara University with a BA in Economics and a BS in Marketing, and is now pursuing her MBA. She couldn’t get enough of SCU, so she joined the Office for Multicultural Learning in August 2025. Outside of work, Meenu loves trying new restaurants with friends and family, listening to nostalgic 2010s songs, and dancing at any and all events.
