Jack Otten was a 6’1, 187 pound forward for Broncos basketball team in the mid-1930’s. Otten had great straightaway speed and a precise ability to handle the ball. Coach Harlan Dykes was quoted saying the Otten was the greatest split vision passer he had ever coached. In his senior year, he was one of the leaders on the team, serving as an example of great composure and basketball IQ for the team.
