The Retail Management Institute (RMI) is a recognized retail industry partner with a 36-year history and strong reputation for developing strategic leaders

The Retail Studies Program minor provides undergraduates in Business, Arts & Sciences, and Engineering with the necessary skills, knowledge, and contacts to launch a successful career in the retail industry with positions in Digital Marketing, eCommerce, Buying, Merchandising, Finance, Store Leadership/In-store Operations, Supply Chain & Procurement, and Product Development. RMI teams with an ever-expanding alliance of leading retail innovators and global brand leaders to provide students industry exposure and business opportunities. Students have an opportunity to engage directly with RMI partnering companies from Chloe+Isabel, Cost Plus World Market, Crate & Barrel, E & J Gallo Wines, Levi Strauss & Co., Lolli & Pops, Gap, inc., Orchard Supply Hardware, Ross Stores, Inc., Sephora, Stitch Fix, Target, The Grove, Trader Joe's, Williams-Sonoma, as well as influential Silicon Valley and San Francisco Bay Area companies including Apple, Google, Facebook, IBM, Pinterest, Microsoft and LinkedIn.
