"Since SCU graduation, I attended medical school in Toledo (Ohio), a residency in Urology at the University of Kentucky, then a fellowship in Pediatric Urology at Stanford, I have been practicing Pediatric Urology at Akron Children's Hospital in Ohio for the last 10 years. My wife (Katie) and I have 4 boys, all of whom have wandered the SCU campus on multiple visits to CA and while we were living in Sunnyvale. Lowlights of the last 20+ years include: giving Heath a day tour of Cleveland, exponentially increasing gray hair, and visits to harass Greenwalt, Heath, and Moritz. In the last 5 years, I qualified for and ran the Boston Marathon and finished a 100+ mile run. As to how Classics helps with any of this, it was a great subject to talk about during interviews at all levels of medicine (guaranteed you are the only one with that major interviewing!), helped a little with the medical vocabulary, and the mental grind of learning Latin is good prep for medicine (or an ultramarathon)."
