Convergence Art Exhibit Celebrates the Intersection of Arts, Sciences, and Humanities

SANTA CLARA, Calif., February 26, 2024—The College of Arts and Sciences of Santa Clara University announces the opening of Convergence: The Limitless Potential of a Multidisciplinary Education, an interactive art installation in the east lobby of the Sobrato Campus for Discovery and Innovation.

A series of geometrically arranged 10’ tall graphic panels, Convergence allows viewers to discover how the intersection of the arts, sciences, and humanities came together to activate and inspire groundbreaking and influential figures. QR codes on each panel take visitors to videos and additional content about the 12 highlighted individuals.

“The individuals spotlighted in the installation represent the tremendous array of multidisciplinary opportunities also available here at SCU,” said Daniel Press, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. “Students can build a holistic foundation that integrates the arts and humanities, with natural and social sciences, technology, and engineering. SCU offers an education that embraces the full potential of each student and celebrates what makes them human.”

Convergence is on display through April 2024 in the east lobby of SCDI. A reception celebrating the exhibit’s opening will be held on Wednesday, February 28, from 4-5:30 p.m. Visit the university events calendar to RSVP.
