2022 Goldwater Scholar Rob Cady
Congratulations to Rob Cady ‘23, Physics and Math double major, who has been named a 2022 Goldwater Scholar. The Goldwater Scholarship is the most prestigious national undergraduate scholarship in the natural sciences, engineering and mathematics for college sophomores and juniors who intend to pursue research careers in these fields. The scholarships award up to $7,500 a year to help cover the costs associated with tuition, books and fees, room and board.
Rob has worked with Associate Professor Guy Ramon on research that aimed to identify and characterize charge fluctuations that limit the performance of quantum computers based on solid-state qubits. Preliminary results of the study were presented in the recent American Physical Society ‘March Meeting’.
