Department ofWomen's and Gender Studies

Honor Society

The Alpha Chapter of Iota Iota Iota, Triota, at the Metropolitan State University of Denver held its first induction ceremony in the fall of 1992 in order to recognize the academic achievements of students in Women's Studies. The Greek letter, iota, was selected for the name to represent the three goddesses Inana, Ishtar, and Isis. Iota Iota Iota strives to maintain the feminist values central to Women's Studies and encourage diversity, egalitarianism, and a supportive academic environment for all students.

The Women’s and Gender Studies Department is proud to be the Delta Theta chapter of Iota, Iota, Iota. Our first group was inducted in the spring quarter of 2016.

Students must be at least a second-quarter sophomore, have taken at least 2 courses in Women's and Gender Studies (cross-listed courses count), have a WGST GPA of 3.4 or above, and a CUM GPA of 3.0 or above.
